Paperbacking
The luxurious look of fabrics on wall surfaces has been
enjoyed for centuries. Fabric wallcoverings provide you with
unlimited design possibilities using coordinating fabrics and
integrating upholstery, drapes, top treatments, soft shades,
roller shades, pillows and accessories.
Benefits of Paperbacking
Paperbacking is achieved by laminating
paper to the back side of fabric. Most fabrics, even silks,
damasks and moirés can be paperbacked and made ready for
wallcovering installation.
• Adds substance and body
to fabric making
installation easier and quicker
• No adhesive bleed through during installation allowing for professional
quality seams
• Extra thickness aids in concealing blemishes in
wall surfaces
• Paperbacked fabrics serve as insulators and
acoustical aids
In many cases backed fabrics can also be surface protected. For
maximum protection, Vinylizing or Vinyl-Tex™ can be applied to most fabrics.

Where to Use Paperbacked Fabrics
Bedrooms, dining rooms and living rooms are obvious
places to use fabrics for wallcoverings. This economical treatment
is also ideal for office, home and industrial wall spaces and
can even be installed over paneling.
